About Troll House

Troll House is designed as an informational hub providing a nontraditional point-of-entry to local resources and services. Founded and administered by Virginia Parker, Troll House is a resource designed to help individuals help themselves.

Named in honor of Virginia’s late son David, whose nickname was “Troll,” Troll House’s mission is to help individuals navigate the sometimes confusing path to obtaining needed services.

Troll House works one-on-one with those needing help in a caring, nonthreatening and nonjudgmental environment. Troll House's main goal is getting the person to the right program, the first time.  As an example, read Brian's Story.

Troll House Offers:

  • Unconditional love and acceptance.
  • A working knowledge of resources and services provided by local agencies.
  • An informal assessment of an individual’s skill set, including academic and comprehension skills.
  • An informal assessment of an individual’s ability to make contact with appropriate agencies unassisted, and assist them as needed.
